Founder, Of the Oaks
Certified Yoga Therapist | Certified R&R Sleep Meditation Practitioner | Specialized in Hip, Knee, and Osteoarthritis Support
“Like an oak tree, it grows slowly, but surely at its own rate.”
Welcome to Of the Oaks. I’m Michelle — yoga therapist, educator, and wellness advocate grounded in the belief that true healing unfolds at your own pace.
Rooted in a holistic, individualized approach, I specialize in yoga therapy that supports physical, mental, and emotional well-being. My training includes a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification, advanced studies in restorative and chair yoga, and specialized programs focused on chronic pain, joint health, nervous system regulation, and sleep support.
Who I Work With
My work is especially helpful for individuals living with:
- Chronic Pain: including back, hip, shoulder, or joint pain, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue
- Musculoskeletal Issues: arthritis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, injury recovery
- Neurological Conditions: parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), stroke, epilepsy
- Mental Health Concerns: PTSD, anxiety, depression, stress-related disorders
- Other Conditions: pre and post hip and knee replacement, migraines, immune function challenges, heart health, diabetes, OCD, addiction recovery, and more
Yoga therapy can promote calmness, emotional resilience, pain relief, and improved function. Each session is tailored to the whole person — integrating breath, movement, and mindfulness to support long-term health and healing. I work collaboratively with your healthcare team whenever possible, offering a supportive complement to conventional medical care.
What I Offer
- Individual Yoga Therapy: Custom one-on-one sessions designed around your unique health needs
- Group Yoga Classes: Gentle, inclusive Hatha yoga and restorative movement
- School, Workplace, and Community Programs

- Fundraisers and Events for Well-being and Community Support
My goal is to hold space for your growth and healing — wherever you’re starting from. Together, we adapt, explore, and evolve — just like the oak.
A Note of Gratitude
I’m forever grateful for the love and support of my family and friends. Their encouragement is the quiet strength behind every offering. Thank you for being here. I look forward to walking this path of healing and possibility with you.
